Consistently an inspiring, fun and excellent teacher he has inspired many from school children to elders to take that first step toward acknowledging and sharing their own special gifts. Through examples of strength, stamina, artistry and discipline underscored by sly humor this is the culmination of 35 years of dedication and determination striving to bring his art to the widest possible audience Ricky Gene presents a concert/lecture he has researched and developed to find the threads common to our world’s musical traditions. Provide a solo lecture demo/workshop and discussion session on a variety of all or some of the following as needed; music history, arranging, orchestration, songwriting, improvisation, ensemble development and performance, composition, how to build a musical groove in many styles, how to best use electronic gear, lyric writing, technical and performance stage skills and the business of music.
RGP seeks to share the value of self expression He believes that the old adage “If you can walk you can dance and if you can talk you can sing’ is true. He has a post-modernistic sense that anything is possible and shares this believe in the human instrument through his engaging presentations.
Programs can be designed for specific audiences (including children) or with specific themes (ecology, Multi-Cultural Exploration Through Music, etc.)
